Salerno, Palazzo Fruscione
September 15-19, 2014
Thanks to the unexpectedly high number of registered participants (about 100) the Conference will be held at Palazzo Fruscione located 100 m away from the venue initially granted by the Salerno city Council, with a special afternoon session on the occasion of Silvio De Siena's 65th birthday. The Conference venue is very close to Ave Gratia Plena Hostel and B&B San Pietro A Corte (see the accommodation page).
Topics and Aims
The seventh annual Italian Quantum Information Science Conference (IQIS2014) will be held from September 15 to September 19, 2014 in Salerno, co-hosted by the CNR-SPIN, the University of Salerno, and the University of Napoli Federico II.
By an established tradition, a significant part of the Conference consists in a series of keynote overviews over cutting-edge areas at the frontier of research in quantum physics. Moreover, we have scheduled some special invited guest lectures, keynote overviews and invited talks which will focus on the following themes:
1) Quantum simulations of fundamental physical phenomena, models, and theories
2) Physics of complex quantum matter
3) Dynamics of open quantum systems at the frontier between living and non-living matter
4) Quantum correlations and enhanced quantum technologies
5) Novel trends in quantum computation and quantum information
6) Quantum foundations, concepts, and mathematical methods
